There is a new sign on the gate at Forest Edge Farm.
It is communicating our partnership with Wilson inlet Catchment Committee which aims to preserve and improve the health of our Great Southern and South Coastal waterways.
As part of a long-term commitment to environmental health and sustainability
Forest Edge Farm has;
- Planted and maintained more than 15,000 native trees and shrubs with appropriate fencing, plus 1700 olive trees.
- Incorporated substantial earthworks and fencing to conserve water and manage water-logging to improve drainage.
- We are involved in soil testing and regularly seek agronomic advice to maximise productivity and ensure there is no loss of nutrients into the Hay River.
- Our beautiful sheep graze the olive grove, contributing manure while eliminating the need for mechanical mowing and fuel usage..
